The Appraisal Files

FHA Appraisal Work
May 31st, 2008 8:46 PM

Went out this week to do a FHA appraisal of a home in a small rural town. When I opened the crawl space door 8 inches of  water was standing under the home. The owner ask" that won't make any difference will it"?  I just said that I report what if see and moved on. I don't know how long the water has been under the home but at some point the floors will rot and mold will be growing and the owner will be complaining about the builder, the realtor, or the seller of the home for selling him a damaged home. Just how much does a small sump pump cost as compared to the value of a home?

Just things that I ponder about
